Membership

The SBG, at present, does not have a membership policy and all are welcome.

The SGB is run and organised by Andrew Sloan on a purely volutary basis.

To receive notifications of our meetings and the agenda you simply need to email your details to andrew.sloan@wctcoltd.com

After your first meeting attendance you will be added to the email broadcast and be kept informed of events. Those who do not attend meetings on a regular basis will simply be removed from the list.

At present there is a door charge of 240 Baht to contribute to the cost of snacks. Those who confirm attendance are expected to pay or themselves and their guests. Whether they end up attending or not they will be expected to pay the total amount, otherwise other participants or Andrew will be paying for them.

All drinks you order are to your own account.

1. Opportunity to present your organisation at one of the meetings based around a topic for discussion.
2. Be introduced to a small group of business people who you can get to know more personally and be introduced to other groups around the world.
3. Gain some additional knowledge from seasoned professionals and be part of the open floor, questions and answers sessions. We are not shy.
4. Enjoy a great night that does not leave you with a sore head and finishes at a reasonable time.

Sponsorship

1. Sponsor an evening. A simple case of sponsoring the food for the evening and making a donation. For this you will receive thanks on the evening and be recorded on the website as well as receiving a thanks on our next meeting circulation. Estimate 10,000 Baht
2. Sponsor the SBG and be included on all communications both to members, the website and be seen by other local, regional, and Scottish business groups. You will also get the opportunity to present your business and have first refusal on other sponsorship opportunities on offer via SBG events. Price 25,000 Baht

If you do not want to sponsor, donations are also very welcome and  contributes to the overheads of running of the group.

All donations and sponsorship are run through WCT so you can receive a receipt.

The Scottish Comedy Night

In 2008 we flew out Ray Mearns for an excellent night of Scottish comedy and it was a great success.

We are going to hold a similar event, but this time with 2 comedians allowing us 2 hours of Scottish humour, free flow of beer and soft drinks, buffet meal, a bottle of whisky at each table of 10 – bring your own extra drinks. Cost for the evening is 2,800 Baht per person.

The evening is not full of blue material, but there may be a few saucy words, therefore if you are offended by some swearing then the event may not be for you or your gusts. Under 20 years old cannot attend due to Thai licensing laws.
